How Poke Personality Quiz handles browser history and anonymous results that a user explicitly chooses to share.

Quiz answers and browser history

Incomplete answers to the 30 questions remain only in page memory and disappear on refresh or re-entry. After completion, the browser may store up to 30 localStorage history entries containing the completion time, dataset version, six-axis vector, Top 3, and sync scores. Local history does not contain the question text or original answers. A user can explicitly clear this browser history.

Share links created by a user

A shared result is never created automatically. Only after the user selects “Create share link” does the browser send the dataset version, locale, and six-axis vector to the server. The server recalculates the Top 3 and sync scores from the approved matching dataset and stores them with a public random ID and creation time.

The shared-result database row does not store the original 30 answers, a name, email address, IP address, User-Agent, or the plaintext deletion credential. The hosting provider may temporarily process standard request logs for security and operations, but those values are not added to the shared-result record.

Retention and deletion credential

Shared results do not expire automatically. The deletion credential is returned once when the link is created and is stored in that browser's localStorage. The server stores only its SHA-256 hash. A browser holding that credential can delete the shared result. Clearing browser data or losing the device removes the normal self-service deletion capability.

If the credential is lost, sign in and submit a support ticket with the complete shared-result URL or public ID and the reason for removal. The operator will locate the matching record and handle deletion manually where reasonably possible. Because the result is anonymous and no additional ownership data is retained, the operator may request more context or decline a request when ownership cannot be established or there is a material risk of deleting another person's link.

Cookies and display preferences

The site may store a PARAGLIDE_LOCALE cookie to remember the selected language. Standard display preferences, such as a theme choice, may also be stored by the browser.

Google Analytics 4 loads by default to help measure site usage and improve the experience. Google Analytics may process the page URL, referrer, approximate location, browser and device information, and session activity, and may use cookies such as _ga to distinguish visitors. The site does not send the 30 quiz answers, six-axis vector, matched candidates, shared-result ID, name, or email address to Google Analytics as analytics events. Measurement can be limited through browser cookie controls or Google's opt-out tools. Advertising scripts are not connected to the public quiz flow.
